BiographyAbout Jessica
Jessica Singer, LCSW is a licensed clinical social worker who works with children (ages 5+), adolescents, and families. Jessica has extensive experience working with clients in both outpatient and inpatient/residential care settings. Ms. Singer enjoys working with children and adolescents and uses humor and playfulness to support them to feel comfortable and safe, as therapy can be experienced as scary or overwhelming, and may require some “easing into” the process. Jessica approaches her clients with unconditional regard and respect and seeks to empower them in identifying their goals, so that they can participate wholly in their treatment. Jessica prides herself in her ability to connect and build rapport with children and teens of different ages, personalities and backgrounds. Jessica is trained in trauma-based interventions and psychotherapy for adolescents responding to chronic stress. She utilizes evidence-based approaches in helping children and adolescents to better manage overwhelming feelings and negative thought patterns, as well as difficulties in negotiating social relationships. Jessica has worked with clients who have struggled with stress related to maturational issues, trauma, anxiety, and depression. Jessica believes that a strong support system propels growth and healing. She values partnering with families and caregivers, by providing them with tools and psychoeducation that will help them feel more competent in navigating their children’s needs. When working with families, Jessica utilizes reparative/restorative work to strengthen relationships and communication.
