Jasmyn Rosales, LMSW is a psychotherapist that specializes in working with children, adolescents, young adults, families and couples. Utilizing a strength-based, solution-focused approach in working with her clients, Jasmyn treats clients experiencing emotional struggles, low self esteem, eating disorders, body dysmorphia, self injurious behaviors, personality disorders, emotional dysregulation, behavioral issues within their system, anxiety, depression, transitional and relationship issues, as well as attachment issues. Jasmyn’s aim is to collaboratively help clients understand patterns in which they feel stuck, find relief from narratives that are no longer theirs, help them understand the cause and effect of negative patterns, and learn how to move towards their goals and create healthier behaviors. Jasmyn’s style is warm, genuine, and nonjudgmental. She works as a supportive and collaborative partner to help clients find and achieve long term solutions. Jasmyn holds a Master of Social Work Degree from NYU Silver School of Social Work and has training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused CBT, Family Systems and other therapeutic modalities. Jasmyn also has specialized training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), a powerful healing approach to the treatment of traumas both large and small. Frequently, past traumas are at the root of present struggles, and by addressing them with targeted trauma treatment, current difficulties may be resolved.
