Jaclyn Vasaturo, LCSW is a licensed psychotherapist who specializes in working with children, adolescents, young adults, adults, families, and parents. Jaclyn has worked in outpatient mental health settings, School Based Mental Health Clinics and Residential Foster Care. Jaclyn’s experience ranges from working with clients navigating day to day life stressors such as life transitions, goal setting, job and partnership stress, parenting and family challenges to ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, behavior and school challenges, and eating disorders/disordered eating. Jaclyn views psychotherapy as a holistic experience, bringing in elements of mindfulness into sessions to support client awareness of self and surroundings to best support them in reaching their therapy goals. Jaclyn utilizes a collaborative approach, as she believes the therapeutic partnership allows clients to feel empowered in their therapy. Jaclyn values a client-centered lens and she believes developing a trusting rapport is the foundation to the therapeutic work. She leads with compassion, empathy and practices both active and reflective listening to aide clients in moving at their own pace, with comfort and ease. Jaclyn uses a relational style, maintaining a strengths-based view, while incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, among other therapeutic techniques and interventions that best support the objectives of the client. Jaclyn received her BSW from Marist College and went onto to receive her MSW from NYU. Jaclyn is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of New York.
