Biography
About Nightingale Nightingale Russell, LMSW, is a dedicated psychotherapist, passionate about guiding clients of all ages—children, adolescents, adults, parents, and couples—through life’s challenges and transitions. She has extensive experience in healthcare settings, child welfare, and crisis response and management. Additionally, Nightingale has served as a clinical supervisor supporting other mental health professionals early in their career. Nightingale utilizes a range of evidence-based approaches—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, play therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)—to support clients in building coping skills, enhancing relationships, and fostering personal growth. Through individual, family, and couples therapy, she is dedicated to teaching practical strategies while empowering clients to recognize their strengths and navigate life with clarity and confidence. Her client-centered approach creates a warm, judgment-free space where individuals feel safe, heard, and supported in their growth. Nightingale believes that collaboration, understanding, and empowerment are at the heart of meaningful therapeutic change. She earned her Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from CUNY Hunter’s Silberman School of Social Work and is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in New York.
