Fees & Insurance

Fees:

• $200 per individual 45 minute session
• $75 per 60-75 minute group session
• Sliding Scale available (For clients who do not have or prefer not to go through insurance)

Insurance:
Westchester Psychotherapy PC is currently an in-network provider for the following insurance plans:  

• 1199/SEIU
• Aetna/Aetna Student Health/Meritain​​
• ​Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield
• Fidelis
• First Health
• ​MVP
• Northwell Direct
• Optum/United Behavioral Health
• Oxford
  
• United Health Care
  

All other insurance plans are accepted as an out of network provider.  The Staff at Westchester Psychotherapy is happy to provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.  Many people have excellent out of network mental health benefits and can actually end up paying less per session (after deductible is met) than a copay for an in-network therapist.  For example, your copay for an in-network therapist may be $25 per session, but for an out of network therapist your insurance may cover 80-90% of the session which may end up only being a copay of $20 per session.

To see if your insurance covers our services in part or in full, please contact your healthcare company and ask the following questions:

• Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
• Can I see an out of network LCSW mental health provider?
• What is my deductible and has it been met?
• How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?  (In most cases you should have unlimited sessions.)
• What is the coverage amount per therapy session and do I have a copay/coinsurance?
• Is approval required from my primary care physician?

Payment 
Credit cards, FSA/HSA cards are accepted forms of payment.

Cancellation Policy 
It is extremely important that you attend and be on time to every session.  If you must cancel your therapy appointment, we require 24 hours notice.  If you do not give us 24 hours notice, you will be responsible for the full cost of the session.  Extenuating circumstances (illness, inclement weather, death of a loved one) will be taken into consideration and worked out on a personal basis.  In the event you must cancel a session, an effort will be made to make up the session within the current or following week. (Schedule Permitting)
